Lots to share…
I took advantage of a Webs Facebook deal of the day a couple of weeks ago and stocked up on my favorite Valley Yarns Superwash in some basic colors — just $4 a ball!

I also purchased some Quince & Co. yarns, Osprey and Lark, to see what all the fuss is about and to get a look at some colorways in real life:

Still recovering from the sting of my Campbell fail, I’m slowly but surely getting the bug to knit a sweater and Osprey and Lark are good, affordable candidates for some of the patterns I am eying.
I also won a blog contest!!! I have been a longtime fan of Michele at PDX Knitterati and she sent along these goodies (along with an electronic version of her awesome Infinity Entrelac pattern, not pictured):

Um, yeah. Those are COCONUT M&M’s. Michele and I have never met in real life but she obviously knows me very well. Thank you!
The yarn is Knit Picks Chroma in the fingering weight. I enjoyed the worsted weight for a recent scarf I made so I’m excited to try the fingering weight at some point.
Meanwhile, I have been knitting. I finished the hat from the leftovers of my leftovers granny square baby blanket:

I’m not going to gift it along with the blanket as I originally planned because it doesn’t quite “go” together as well as I thought it would. But it’ll be a fine item for the next craft fair. It’s never too early to create stock for that.
I also made this little guy, which I will put away until the summer when he/she/it will get tucked into one of my kids’ sleepaway camp luggage.

You can see, it didn’t quite turn out the way the pattern model looks – I think I misjudged the eye placement and then that threw off all the rest of the proportions. But who cares? It’s cute all the same!
Phew! I think that’s it from here! I’ll leave you with a final photo — happy Valentine’s week!

Wow, all that yarn — lucky you! The little monster is adorable. They would probably sell well at your fair too!

Thanks!! The monster is someone else’s pattern so I can’t sell ‘em but I agree!

Adorable stuffs :-}
Lots of great yarn!! I am hopeless. I just finished getting rid of MASSIVE stash and am dreaming of the time to come, after we move when I can start adding stash again…
But more slowly. I realized not having such a massive stash is somewhat freeing. (I had TEN HUGE bins plus stuff in bags. Now I have three bins worth, and I’m using up lots of partial skeins in my stress-reducing projects.
(afghan one done, now well-stuck-in to afghan two)

I love using up those partial skeins. I, too, don’t like a massive stash. However, I do also like a deal so I definitely try to stock up whenever I spot one!
