Not only did I forget to take a photo of my final hat for the craft fair (it was my favorite too — dark grey, light grey, white and yellow — big color blocks), but I forgot to take a photo of the craft fair itself! Rats! I will say that it was my best year ever — I sold all but four hats. (Interestingly, one of the cutest ones, in my opinion, didn’t sell…) Of the remaining hats, I sent one off to a Los Angeles charity that hands out hats to homeless LGBT teens and another to a friend who just adopted a baby from foster care. I kept two to have as emergency gifts. Meanwhile, I gifted another hat — an orange and black one — to my daughter’s Giants-obsessed advisor and I made this cowl for my son’s advisor:
I used Malabrigo Rios. I had quite a bit left so I returned to the store and got a second skein so that I could use the leftovers plus the new skein to make myself a pair of fingerless mitts, which I’m working on now, and possibly even a hat. I also bought via a Ravelry private sale a skein of Lollipop Yarn. (Do NOT get me started on how frustrating it was to try to purchase a skein of that yarn via the Etsy store. I put a skein in my cart 3 seconds after it entered the shop yet it was cart-jacked as I was paying. Grrr….) Hopefully the resulting socks will be worth the hassle of acquiring this yarn! I also received an Imagiknit gift certificate for Hanukkah so, in addition to getting the second skein of Malabrigo Rios, I got a skein of this. Stay tuned!!!
