These are the chocolate chip-garbanzo bean cookies from Deceptively Delicious, one of my favorite recipes in the book.  The beans don’t taste bean-y; rather they add a perfect crunchy-chewiness — and a lot of protein.  Yum!

Knitting-wise, I am putting the finishing touches on my Aleita Shell after a horrendous time making those front sections.  I had to abandon the confusing written instructions (note: not poorly designed) and instead had to wing it.  I spent several nights trying to get the fronts symmetrical, which is a lot harder than it sounds given the “at the same time” shaping on the neck and armholes.  I am predicting a lukewarm thumbs up for the project.  Details soon…
