I am still in the thick of my Empire Waist Cardigan but I’m already thinking about the next garments to make.  (Part of this is a result of my recent closet-cleaning and determining that my wardrobe needs a bit of an overhaul!)  Here’s what I’m thinking:

Josephine Top, Interweave Summer 2007

Here’s a photo of Gloriana’s version, which has long inspired me.  It’s really cute but I don’t typically wear that style.  At the same time, I’m trying to think outside the box  with respect to my wardrobe so I may go for it.  I also could use something like this:

Indigo Playmate from Custom Knits

I’ve been wanting to make something from this book for awhile.  I’ve also wanted to add a shawl-collared sweater into my wardrobe.  I could see getting a lot of use out of this sweater, especially in a neutral gray.  My fear, however, is that it could turn out bulky and therefore unflattering.  Thoughts?

Then, of course, there’s still good old Nonpareil:

There’s one completed Nonpareil on Ravelry, which turned out great.  But I’d like to see a few more versions before I dive in myself.

Whatever I chose next — and I’m open to your thoughts — has to be knit in between hats for the upcoming school craft fair!
