Ta-da!  My Napoleon vest is done:

Although this was my Ravelympics project, I didn’ t quite finish in time, though it would have been do-able if I hadn’t been highly occupied with non-knitting obligations.  Overall, I am happy with his project.  The yarn is O-Wool Classic (color saffron, a sophisticated orange, close to copper) and I used size 5 needles (I am a loose knitter).  Here’s a close-up of the pretty detail:

Interestingly, my favorite part of the vest — the scalloped edging — is also the part I’m a little insecure about.  I don’t normally wear “frilly” things.  I hope I don’ t look goofy wearing it.   I do love the bottom edging too:

This was one of the first times that I have purchased yarn without a project in mind first.  I’m not sure I’ll do that again.  I prefer to have a project in mind and then find just the right yarn…  In any event, thanks for joining me on this Ravelympics journey!  🙂
