I’m a pretty good knitting teacher — for adults.  I’m not confident in teaching kids to knit, especially my own.  However, a friend of mine, a former teacher, had successfully taught her three girls to knit.  So I asked her if she’d teach my kids.  We met up last week for an hour.  While her girls and I made pom poms, she taught my kids to knit, using all kinds of analogies — and demonstrating far more patience than I ever could.

Watching them wrap that yarn around the needle just tickles me.
