I am finally done with my two slog projects:  my two-at-a-time, toe-up socks and my mother-in-law’s scarf.

I first saw this scarf worn by a friend — her mother had knit it for her.  Hers was this same off-white color but I like hers better — the yarn had more of a halo to it.  Although the yarn I used, Valley Yarns Northfield, is quite nice, it has more of a flat quality.  This scarf is much wider than I’d normally knit for myself but I think it’s actually more fashionable made wider like this — and it’ll work well for my mother-in-law.

I’ve now moved on to…a chicken.  Yup, a knitted chicken.
