I am in love with this book

I am freakishly obsessed with the online knitting world.  I’ve been following knitting blogs since 2005 and I am too embarrassed to say how much time I spend on Ravelry.  I love when my favorite designers post on Facebook and I even subscribed to Twitter for the sole purpose of stalking…er, following…my favorite people in the knitting world.  This book features in-depth interviews with well-known knit bloggers, who talk about their style, process and blogging history.  Just what I needed!  (Now if only she’d do a sequel on knitting podcasters…)  Even better, the patterns are great too.  Here are some of my favorites:

Woodsmoke Scarf by Jared Flood

Koukla by Hilary Smith Callis

Lenina by Woolly Wormhead (just one skein of Malabrigo!)

Helix Socks by Sean Riley

My only criticism is that many — perhaps even most — of the patterns are complex, requiring chart-following.  Sometimes I’m just not in the mood — so I’m not sure how many projects I’ll actually knit from the book, though the designs are all beautiful.  Otherwise, the book is terrific and perfect for a knitter like me, who is obsessed with the intersection between knitting and social media.
