Awhile back, I had to add to my Amazon shopping card to get free shipping so I tossed in this book: Knit the Alphabet. I decided to knit the initials of my children’s school, which I will donate to the school auction in the spring. That “S” was a total pain to knit because the whole thing is short rows (i.e., no zoning out). But I’m super happy with how these letters turned out. I can imagine making them as baby gifts, etc.

In other knitting news, I fell in love with this hat that I saw in the Athleta catalog.

Being the resourceful (read: cheap) knitter that I am, I decided to knit my own rather than fork out 32 bucks. It came out really cute, if I do say so myself. Next up, another hat.
